Intern and Volunteer Opportunities

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The VOICE OF DEMOCRACY scholarship program is an audio-essay contest for high school students in grades 9-12. This program is designed to foster patriotism by allowing students the opportunity to voice their opinion in a 3-5 minute essay based on an annual theme. Pick up an application in the Counseling Center.  This years theme is "Does America Still Have Heroes?" Students enter by submitting the required entry form, along with their essay and recording to Ms. Vaughn in the Counseling Center by Friday, October 30, 2009.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY- IMMEDIATE OPENING!
The Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce has created a high school internship position intended for seniors or juniors interested in gaining hands on office management, event planning, customer relations and business practices experience. The position is available to only one student (per semester) for two afternoons per week from 3-5PM; days are flexible. Please see Ms. Vaughn in the Career Center ASAP for more information.


VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY- IMMEDIATE OPENING!
The Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce has an ongoing need for assistance in mailings.  Up to six students may attend a mailing date.  Mailings would be finished in one afternoon; pizza is included.
Thursday, October 29, 3-5pm; Assist in bulk mailing, processing envelopes and labels
& Monday, November 2, 3-5pm; Assist in processing Chamber newsletter for bulk mailing
